Summary: Check in was quick and easy. They do give an actual key rather than a key card. We got upgraded to a junior suite from a king room which was nice to have the extra space. There is a hot tub which we enjoyed one night. They also provide a 3 day bus pass. We were there 3 nights. We had breakfast there one day as well which was good. The only thing I didn’t realize is that there is no AC but the room cools down at night so it wasn’t an issue for us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here.

Summary: Our well appointed rustic cabin was directly across from the office, restaurant and hot tub, which was very nice. Friendly staff, free bus stop, fabulous hot tub. Beautiful scenery. Great choice for my lady and myself

Summary: We arrived at 2am after having a flight cancelled. We appreciated email reassurance that reception staff would be there to check us in. Room was fabulous! Restaurant was stylish, food was excellent and service was wonderful. The nicest hotel of our 6 nights

Summary: Amazing time. Just a mile away from downtown Banff. Bus vouchers provided and a cozy stay. The small issue we had with keys was immediately resolved by the helpful staff

Summary: Downtown Banff can be a little overwhelming on a crowded summer day, with literally thousands of people walking up and down Main Street each hour and parking impossible to find. That’s why it was so nice to stay on Tunnel Mountain at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. While less than 10 minutes from downtown Banff, it felt a world away. The setting is really beautiful, with hiking trails just steps away. However, you never really feel inconvenienced by not staying downtown on Main Street, because the lodge provides free Roam bus passes and the bus picks up right out front of the lodge and whisks you downtown in less than a quarter hour. If you prefer to avoid downtown altogether, there is a nice bar and restaurant at the hotel, along with a fitness center and hot tub for the guests. The rooms themselves are quite large, and distributed around the main lodge in several 2 story buildings with ample parking alongside them. We even had a fireplace in our room, along with a nice balcony facing the mountains. Staff were helpful and we really had a nice stay.

Summary: We had a great stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the studio was spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We used the restaurant on site twice and the food and service on both occasions were exceptional. The lodge is a little out of the downtown area, but there is an excellent and regular bus service right outside which takes you downtown in no time and fares are covered by the lodge. It’s a really peaceful location with nice walking trails.

Summary: The hotel stay was okay overall, but make sure to double-check your booking and final bill. I prepaid for my room, confirmed that everything was correct with the front desk, and was still charged a second time. While the duplicate charge was eventually addressed, it created an unnecessary hassle. I recommend reviewing your charges carefully before and after your stay.
